International TTP Day in Bern on 16.09.2018

25 June 2018

Please support us in our quest to help answer TTP!

International TTP Day is Saturday September 15, 2018. We, the TTP team BERN (see www.ttpregistry.net), will join other TTP patients and supporters worldwide to raise money for research for this orphaned disorder, a day later on SUNDAY September 16th, from 10:00-16:00 at a local event (flea market).

Your donation will help us to raise funds for much needed research, education, and patient support to help ease treatment and ultimately find a cure for TTP. Your donation makes our fight possible.

Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura, TTP, is a rare blood disorder characterized by small blood clots that form throughout the body. A TTP crisis is considered a true medical emergency. Too many patients suffer irreversible complications or die because diagnosis isn't made fast enough.

Answering TTP is a fund raising organization based in Canada, supporting research worldwide, such as our research supported in 2016 by one of their grants: https://www.answeringttp.org/our-role-impact/our-research-grants/2016-funded-grants/dr-j-kremer-hovinga.

Our efforts will help to speed early detection of a TTP crisis. Without treatment 95% of TTP patients die. Delayed diagnosis leads to irreversible complications from heart attack, stroke, kidney failure and death.
